Walking to the biggame the first butterflies come into the stomach as you start to see the glowin the sky from the floodlights.  Closer,and brilliant beams of light cut across rooftops and sections of stands becomevisible between the terraced housing. This work tries to capture the excitement and intrigue that builds onapproach to a night time football match below the lights.  The images, taken at Northern Ireland premierleague grounds, are also a comment on the standing of Northern Irelandsforemost football league.  Without thefunding and popularity of the English game, football here remains an amateursport.  A game of, declining attendancesand investment, which is struggling to maintain its once deep-rooted positionwithin the local communities where its grounds are housed.
